Founded in 2009 by Naqsh (Nik) Kochar, Refresh is driven by a deep passion for both employee well-being and business development.

We have witnessed firsthand the detrimental effects of burnout and mental health issues on employees, and we are dedicated to alleviating these challenges in the workplace.

Why did we set out on this journey of employee mental wellness?

We recognized that a comprehensive approach was needed—one that integrates business development expertise with a profound understanding of employee well-being and leadership dynamics. This realization led us to develop our flagship product, the Refresh Wellness Platform (RWP), a research-based digital platform designed to both improve and track employee mental wellness.

We believe that now, more than ever, there is a pressing need for a movement centered around alleviating workplace burnout.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought about a significant societal shift, highlighting the importance of employee mental health in the workplace. As Forbes aptly stated, “Improved employee mental health is good for business—fully eight scientific studies prove it—from the University of California to the University of South Australia and published in journals of economic studies to occupational studies.”

The Refresh Wellness Platform is built for employers to support their employees while gaining valuable anonymous insights. 

Team leads or managers can access the RWP as an administrator for valuable team insights, and employees can access the RWP as a user to discover wellness tools and resources. 

Any business or organization with 2 or more team members can subscribe to and access the Refresh Wellness Platform, although advanced insight features are currently optimized for organizations of 12 or more.

The Refresh Wellness Platform offers employees a range of tools to track their moods, manage stress, and enhance productivity. Employees can anonymously report feelings which is securely combined into anonymous group data. This provides employers with a high-level view of the organization’s overall emotional state, such as overall mood shifts after certain events, allowing them to address these challenges.

Find us on iOS and Android systems by searching for Refresh Wellness in your app store. Employers must register and subscribe to the platform before their team can join. Employers will receive a team invite code to share with employees. Employees can register using their team invite code.

Yes! Employers and employees across Canada and the United States can subscribe to and use the Refresh Wellness Platform.

Yes, Refresh considers data privacy a top priority. We ensure all individual data is safe and cannot be traced by an employer. The only data an employer receives is a combined bird’s-eye view of overall organizational wellness.
